1)
There is one God and He exists in three persons: the
Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7)
2)
Everyone have sinned against God and are thus separated
from God because He is perfect and Holy. (Romans 3:23;
Leviticus
19:2)
3)
While all of us deserve punishment of death and hell
because of our sins (Romans 6:23), God loved us and provided
a way for us to be forgiven and saved from punishment. (John 3:16)
4)
Father God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross around
2000 years ago so that Jesus can take our punishment and we
don't have to be eternally punished if we believe in Him (Isaiah 53:5)
5)
Not only did Jesus die on the cross for us, He also
resurrected on the 3rd day proving that He is a God who lives and one
day we will also be resurrected with Him in heaven if we believe in
Him.
(Matthew 28:6; 1 Thess 4:17)
6)
Beliving in God and being saved requires both confessing
and having faith in God as well as repentance from sin.
(Romans
10:9; 2 Cor 7:10)
7) Water
baptism should immediately follow salvation
because it is an act of obedience and a demonstration of faith towards
God,
devil and man that the new believer now belongs to God and not to the
devil. (Acts 8:38-39)
8)
Holy Spirit baptism is a separate experience
subsequent to water baptism in that it is a baptism for
ultimate
spiritual power to live and do the works that Jesus did. All
Christians can receive the Holy Spirit baptism if they ask in
faith. (Acts 8:14-16; Luke 11:13)
9)
We are saved by grace and faith alone. No one can
work or do enough good things to earn his salvation.
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
10)
While we are saved by grace, believers who have genuine
faith will do the works and will of God or else they are not truly
saved or they are deceiving themselves. (James 1:22;
James
2:17)
